Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken, about 3-4 lbs
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
Cut up some garlic and put it in a small bowl
Add some honey, olive oil, dried oregano and thyme, salt, and pepper
Put the chicken in a pan that will roast
Mix the herbs and garlic together and rub it all over the chicken
Make sure to get under the skin too
Add sliced lemons to the inside of the chicken
If you want to keep the legs close to the body, you can tie them together with kitchen twine
Before putting the chicken in the oven, heat it up
Roast it for about an hour and a half, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 75C and a knife pierced it comes out clean
Take it out of the oven and let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting it
Enjoy the chicken for a party with your favorite side dishes
